He has a PhD in Physics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa, UAM-I. He did a postdoctoral stay at the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity or ZARM of the University of Bremen, in Bremen Germany and other in the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (CINVESTAV) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico. He is a member of the National System of Researchers Level 1 in Mexico.

The lines of research he develops are fundamentals of Bose-Einstein Condensation, Bose-Einstein condensates as tools in Gravitational Physics, Scalar Fields as Bose-Einstein condensates, Scalar Field Dark Matter. 

Awards:  Medal "Al Mérito Universitario" of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.
